HOW TO STOP ROBOCALLS
We all know what robocalls are, even if we haven't ever heard the term "robocall." It's those annoying automated calls and texts you get that never seem to stop. The calls waste our time and make us check the phone when we're busy. Well, there are a variety of things you can do to stop robocalls. The best one may be to contact us. We have a great record of bringing civil lawsuits against companies that send automated calls and texts. We get the calls to stop and we get large payments for our clients. Imagine that, the robocallers have to pay you! If you want to know how to stop robocalls you can read our site or contact us. However, some robocallers are just scam operators who we don't sue because they are impossible to collect money from. In that case, some of the information below about reporting them to the FTC or blocking their calls might be the best course of action for you. If you get robocalls from real companies, then please send us a note through our TCPA contact form and we will tell you if you have a case.
What is a Robocall?
A "Robocall" is a phone call or text message sent by a computerized system. Basically, any call or text that is not sent by a real person manually typing numbers qualifies as a robocall. Text messages from businesses are also usually considered robocalls. This is because the business usually has a computer system sending out prerecorded texts. They don't usually have someone typing out individual texts for all the people they're trying to reach. You can usually tell the difference by looking at the text. If you get a phone call and you hear a brief pause, click, or beeps before you hear someone's voice, then you have gotten a robocall. The pause, click or beep shows that a computer system placed the call and then connected it to a live operator. If you hear a prerecorded message then you also have a robocall. If you want to stop robocalls and get paid then you should contact a great consumer lawyer with experience in battling the robocallers.
